Pros
If you like to devote your entire weekends and some nights along with your regular day shift to working, then the arterial monitor tech position is for you! The nature of the position isn’t particularly stressful all the time, but there is a good amount of responsibility expected of you.
Cons
The long call hours with no relief due to being short staffed is extremely hard. There were, a lot of times, more cases that needed a tech in the room than there were physical, qualified, people available. The pay isn’t great compared to the long hours you spend on call.
