They lie on their employees and throw them under the bus to save face. Sentara is all about numbers over patient care. They implement all these policies that are bogus in the emergency dept where I worked. These policies and procedures are going to ultimately kill someone one day. The ED registration supervisor was mentally disturbed and always had a chip on her shoulder. She also threw her own employees under the bus for HER mistakes instead of owning up to her actions. And no advancement opportunities because management writes you up for every little thing.
