      excellent people to work with

      Cons

      as with many healthcare employers, they are a large business, and as such family-based needs do not always get met when scheduling shifts and sudden needs to "call in" incase of family emergencies.

      Pros

      I'm only giving this job an extra star because of the physicians. Several of them are very passionate about their job and truly a pleasure to work for at the hospital.

      Cons

      Management is very poor. There is a lack of trust of the employees to be able to do their job which translated into micromanagement. The same rules do not apply to each employee (using vacation time for coming in 20 minutes late). Management also tends to be dishonest about what work they actually do. Lastly, there is no support for continued learning or advancements within Sentara.
