Pros

Good management. Solid compensation. Good Culture. Able to move around in the company easily.

Cons

Upper management is a good old boys club. Small town so everyone knows everyone. Not very much face time from the CEO.

I’m happy to know you enjoyed working at Sentry, including the benefits and environment. I understand your feelings about facetime and am sorry if your time with us ended during the pandemic. Since we’ve been working from home, facetime has been a challenge for everyone, regardless of their role in the company. I look forward to a time when all associates are back in the office and can see each other—and our CEO—again. Michele Dufresne – Chief Claims Officer

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review for us. I’m happy you know you have opportunities to advance your career and that you enjoy your benefits—I hope you had the chance to participate in our recent benefits survey. In regards to workload, claims volume can vary greatly, and that has been especially true over the past 18 months, as pandemic protocols have changed. We consistently monitor claims volume to ensure we have an appropriate workforce to handle them. We’re actively hiring new associates to meet the new volumes. Please reach out to your manager if you’re frequently experiencing heavy workloads. Thank you for sharing your feedback. Michele Dufresne – Chief Claims Officer

Pros

Good incentives- yearly bonus, great 401k matching.

Cons

Can be hard to move up in the company, insurance high rates, maternity leave- need to be employed 5 full years before getting full 6 weeks paid and the first week you need to use your personal PTO before maternity leave pay starts.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I noticed most of your review was in regards to benefits, both what you like and where you see opportunities to improve. As you may have seen, we just wrapped up our associate benefits survey where we asked all associates to share what benefits are most important to them—I hope you had an opportunity to share your feedback. We’ll use those responses as we evaluate our current benefits packages. Regarding your comment about maternity leave, we updated that program a few years ago to support associates’ healing and family bonding time. Please contact your HR representative to discuss the different support resources we have available to expanding families. Additionally, I encourage you to talk with your manager about advancement opportunities at your next quarterly conversation. Javier Sotelo – Senior Director of Talent
