Pros

Strong that has strong product adoption in the industry and is aggressively expanding. CEO is dynamic and tremendously impactful for the company to reach the C-suite as we grow. Hopefully he stays for a long time! Benefits are solid, but not exceptional. Tech stack has been stalled for many years, but is finally starting to advance due to the need to adopt Gen AI. Depending on the team you are on, the tech and leadership can be very good. The company is taking steps to provide managers more training on soft skills, which is a great thing. Product leadership is good, and is pushing the tech leaders to update the tech stack to allow for the reduction of toil, streamlined processes, and advancements in our conservative approach to cloud architecture.

Cons

As the company has gotten bigger, the inertia required to overcome in order to push new ideas has gotten significantly harder. There are many technical leaders still at the company from the early days that provide great perspective as to why the decisions were made to get us where we are today. However, they are some of the most difficult to work with, seem enamored by themselves and want to take credit for other's ideas while fighting them on attempts to improve the technology. The hiring has slowed significantly recently, but this can also be attributed to judicious attempts to prevent any layoffs, which is a good thing. Many teams are understaffed to accomplish what they have been asked to do. While there are some exceptions, many of the most recent leadership positions (Director and above) hires are external, rather than promoting from within. There is an incredible cultural focus on execution and delivering. That is a good thing, but just be prepared for limited support if you miss a deadline. People are often quickly removed from their engineering/leadership position, or fired. Despite selling tools and services that are customers are able to build apps to improve their work, it is next to impossible to do that internally. The systems are so locked down, and the development resources to assist with creating improvements are so limited, that you are regularly forced to NOT use our own products, but use alternatives to get the job done. Or just accept that the tools will suck and not get better.

Pros

Leaders really value employee feedback and wellbeing

Cons

There are some isolation between different teams and department. The mid-level management is dominating, and you don't get any chance to talk to other leaders than your direct manager
