Pros

I worked part-time at Sewell for three years while I was in college and it was probably the best decision I made for the following reasons: - Outstanding work experience - If you're willing to take initiative, you can pick up some phenomenal work experience at Sewell. I started as a lowly customer service rep, by the time I left I was working with high profile clients, participating on large-scale projects, flying across the country to present at trade shows, meet with suppliers, and gain experience that I never would have gotten at most jobs available to college graduates, to say nothing of college freshmen. Bottom line, by the time I left, I was being contacted by recruiters for a number of different jobs across the country because of the experience I gained at Sewell. - Ethics - I never felt that we were being pressured to take advantage of customers, misrepresent our products, or do anything shady at all. This is important for me. We always tried to make things right with unhappy customers. - Opportunity for advancement and lateral movement throughout the organization - As I mentioned before, Sewell can be rewarding for those who take initiative and aren't afraid to work. There's plenty of full-time employees in Marketing, Engineering, and various Management positions that got their start working part-time in service or tech support. I think the fact that so many of them decided to stick around after graduating is a testament to what a great company it is. - Flexibility in scheduling - Relaxed atmosphere - Benefits - When I was there, part-time employees were eligible to contribute to a 401k if they chose. Health benefits available for FT employees.

Cons

- When I was there (three years ago), one issue was compensation being a little lower than what you might be able to get at a larger company. This was why I left originally back in 2010, but my understanding is that this has improved since that time, as I regularly keep in touch with a few people still working there.
