      Pros

      Comprehensive medical and dental coverage. EOE that supports work life balance Committed to delivering outstanding patient care Dedicated to patient safety Active in the San Diego community

      Cons

      Top heavy in upper management. There are a lot of CEOs, Senior VPs and VPs. Despite the adoption of LEAN and Six Sigma, innovation is slow to happen. Employee satisfaction is on the decline.

      - GREAT personnel - Staff truly cares in the quality of care that patients receive - Strong nursing union

      Cons

      - Pay is more than 20% less than other hospitals - Insurance coverage is good quality, but will deny payment sometimes.

      Pros

      There are several great reasons to work at Sharp, I feel that they are really trying to change healthcare for the better. They are engaging with their employees in a manner that makes me feel that what I say matters. The work culture in my department is very caring and it’s actually fun to interact with these people.

      Cons

      Too many committees, not every issue needs to be reviewed so thoroughly, I thrust that leadership will make the appropriate decision. Some salaries in some of the clinical areas are somewhat low.
