Wait, what a dollar raise? oh right, it has to be approved by corporate... 2.5 months late, "Here is that raise..."
Pros
If you forget that you are there to make money and think of it more like a high school.... well, highschool without the music class or any classes; just constantly wandering the halls between classes with a hall monitor just around every corner. What I'm trying to say is, I've had a couple good conversations but, this place sux.
Cons
Got a raise from $9 to $10, took 2.5 months to go through. sliced my finger on a meat slicer... no workmanscomp for the "first three days" the workerscomp insurance didn't cover (including but not limited to the 6 hours I spent in the hospital getting surgery on my finger). 6 months in, I got a raise to full time, the only way I know is because the store director shook my hand and said you are full time now and you get a dollar raise (mind you I worked 40+ hours a week as part time). going on week 5 since that conversation and I'm still at $10/h. bottom line, get out as fast as you got in.
