Pros
As a shell pensioner, I was treated so well. Not high up status wise, but that didn't matter. They paid for me an apartment in central London on the sap project so I didn't have to stay in hotels. Modern management style. Great bunch of people. Not worked anywhere since that looks after its staff so well.
Cons
You may have alot of global travel. May sound glamorous but it can get v stressful! Its not fun missing a family event because your flight is delayed. Hr are tirelessly slow. The stig needs to be in charge.
