Pros
Good salary package and work life balance.
Cons
Severe bureaucracy and process-reliant leadership. Very slow career progression. Values and vision look noble on paper but not reflected when dealing with personnel issue. Eg: Not LGBTQ friendly in real life. Profit first. People last. As my retired/retiring ex-colleagues aid, the golden era of Shell was over long before 2000s. Way too many lazy people being complacent and incompetent in their jobs. It became very discouraging if you're looking for stimulating and exciting work environment.
