Various power-games in the cross-national hierarchies. 4. Glocal is something that needs to be looked at more pragmatically. 5. Vast workload that however makes you a first class professional.

      A good place to build a career with plenty of internal opportunities

      Pros

      Due to the size of the company, there are always plenty of opportunities for you internally both locally and potentially internationally. People work hard and you are generally surrounded by very intelligent people. The benefits and pay are competitive and having an onsite swimming pool, gym, subsidised canteen (Shell Centre) are good perks

      Cons

      You will need to build networks as it widens the opportunities available to you. You will be ranked in terms of your potential and if you do not exceed, then the opportunities, training and salary that you can achieve will be restricted
