Pros

# Good work life balance, since there is now work, initial six months you will spend to learn few courses # Flexible working hours

Cons

# Low quality analytics division of Shell International, most of the rubbish works carried out by Chennai data science team # Incompetent Managers (a.k.a BVM), they have zero leadership skills and lack vision for the team. # No guidance or mentoring from managers # Just for their promotion, they are hiring lot of people

Pros

In house training, yearly bonuses, monthly appointment days. Lots of career paths, typically change jobs every 4 years. Set yearly goals which you are measured against, lots of performance feedback.

Cons

Big company so things can move slowly. Oil & Gas Industry goes up & down so need to be prepared for that. Safety culture can seem a little 'Big Brother' at times. Politics can sometimes interfere with projects.
