Pros

They give you freedom to make your agency successful and are there to help out if you ask. They do have great support at the home office

Cons

They make you grow by 5 life policies each quarter or you go on probation and then if you do not do it again you are fired. They only pay the agents once a month and provide very minimal benefits (no 401K)

Pros

Shelter has a great group of employees to work with. They are interested in upgrading technology. They have good benefits and Columbia is a great place to live.

Cons

The medical insurance could be a little better but there were several packages to choose from. There was no HMO option.
