Mental Health Needed for the Mental Health Workers

Experience working with mentally ill patients Looks great on resume Coworkers work as team on my unit Rewarding feeling of helping people

Cons

Low pay with bachelors degree Working with several coworkers who have low education and don't know what they are doing. Staffing issues that causes mandation *Mandation -forcing you to work another 8 hours because staff is needed on the next shift. Disrespectful managers and nurses Lazy nurses who sit in the back of the nurses station while you do all the work. Feeling burnt out from helping the patients while other staffing issues happen everyday

The flexiblity, you get so much PTO which is great if you need time. There is always avaiable overtime shifts if you need extra money

Cons

The pay sucks! You have to do way more than what you are getting compensated for. The expecations should read they expect a lot of work for such little pay. You will always be under staffed as the turn over rate is crazy
