Pros

Nice people, great customers, fun industry to work in -- particularly if you're interested in construction, interior design, or DIY.

Cons

Very young staff with a distinct frat boy kind of vibe. Local management lacks foresight and appears to have a strong age bias. People are promoted for all the wrong reasons, which often results in ineffective store management and sales performance. Gossip among employees is rampant. Much lower level of professionalism than I'm accustomed to.
