Pros

World class company with World Class Values. Employees are treated with respect and given the freedom to "run their own business". Compensation is not great, but definitely good (remember, we sell paint).

Cons

It's sometimes too challenging to get things accompolished within the company. If you know the right person to call, its not a problem, but finding the right person to call can take some time. We are required to do a lot, with little help.

Pros

Comraderie and feeling of working for a company that appreciates the indiviual contributor as well as the Team. A company that focuses on the Safety of its employees as well as the Quality of its product. Good Benefits are a key element in the employment package at Sherwin-Williams. I have often been told by medical and dental professionals that our package is outstanding. 401K and Company funded peosion plan are benefits that other companies have either reduced or eliminated in recent years. Stock purchase is a perk as well. Salaries are monitored and remain competitive within the industry.

Cons

Recent economic conditions have forced an extremely lean and mean operation. Human Resources are required to do more with less. This can be overwhelming at times but i believe this is not an SW exclusive.

Pros

There is opportunity to progress rapidly. Good benefits, good retirement program if you stick with the company for life.

Cons

Not enough opportunity with in each area. Low pay no matter what your qualifications are. No reality between corporate and the field. It seems as though certain things are only offered to certain people. Also, when applying for a position in management you may not even be considered, called, or interviewed no matter your qualifications.
