Severe Lack of Team Structure in satellite offices

Good work life balance, flexible schedules, fair and attainable bonus structure

Cons

lack of team building atmosphere, on an island if you're in a remote office and corporate does nothing to alleviate that feeling, expensive benefits, outdated technology, incredibly wasteful spending with no forethought. Maybe if they put some thought into their budgets, their benefits could be more reasonable. Wealth/time off benefits very heavily favor tenured employees, very little for new employees to want stick around for initially. Felt unwelcomed by team filled with very tenured employees, was not given the opportunity to use skills I was hired for.

I appreciate your endorsement of our good work-life balance, flexible schedules, and bonus structures.I am disappointed to hear your struggles working in a satellite office. Keeping our employees in the smaller offices fully engaged and supported is a challenge, but something we need to continue to improve as we grow. One thing I learned visiting our 'satellite' offices over the last year is that many of our staff do think of SEH as family and feel connected to their co-workers in the local office; and we need to maintain that culture, as well as strengthen the ties to the other offices. - Exposure to many different structural engineering topics - Actual structural design experience at the intern level - Mentor was extremely helpful and encouraged my growth - Field work and technical calculation experience - Personable company culture with good work-life balance - Social work functions allowed for strong relationships with people in other departments. - Upper management welcoming of employee feedback

- Office is in a suburban area with limited bus line access.
