      Not much fun anymore

      Pros

      Good pay and discretionary time off.

      Cons

      No bonuses. My boss and his boss quit last year. In 2020 I got a 4/5 performance review, two awards, and a bonus that they asked me not to tell anyone about. 2021 I got a 2/5 performance review. 2022 I got a 1/5. I'm still the same person so something is happening to the review process or management is not setting direction. Two cycles of layoffs in last 12 months. Use of Linux is no longer allowed for development. Senior management never responds to email and my manager often does not respond.

      Pros

      The people I worked with were the best people ever! Got awesome free pop and drinks and random free meals.

      Cons

      No communication between shifts. Always felt like you were going to get laid off. Lots of promises with no follow through.

      Pros

      By far the employees are the best part of Shutterfly. People genuinely care about their work and their colleagues. The culture is supportive. Leaders are relatable.

      Cons

      There’s no strategy besides layoffs if they don’t hit financial goals. The company is owned by private equity so it’s all about money. Teams are forced to take on more with less resources.
