Pros

Flexible hours, good benefits, friendly environment, sometimes can work from home if your job allows, provide you with a computer, interesting to see the international vibe in the office.

Cons

This rotational program kind of keeps you in the gate without advancement until you finish the two years. No formal orientation, you kind of have to figure everything out by yourself. Singular analyst class, virtually no one my age (just out of college).

Good place to be in the game

Pros

If you want access to a global organization and the location or cultural opportunities, this is a good fit.

Cons

Not great for advancement past a certain point if you are not German or Swiss. Not a place for free thinking or entrepreneurial ideas. The company and structure are rigid and slow. Local autonomy even for mid to senior level managers is limited by multiple layers of matrix, occupied mostly by career Siemens types who are more interested in maintaining their political status than taking care of customers or achieving stronger shareholder returns.

Pros

I have little Pros for the facility, work life balance is difficult at best, a lack of true management support, union really runs the plant. The corporate EHS has little to do with support the facility except to audit and say what to do. It is honest work with a great opportunity to use all of ones skills. Good to build resume but not to stay.

Cons

Union runs the plant, management is more focused on production. Little support, one person for a facility that needs 2 or 3 EHS people to be effective. Each facility within the business units have their own plans, with little or no commonality due to lack of corporate EHS oversight and support.
