Training and induction schedule is a joke - certain parts of training were supposed to be an upwards of an hour, but ends up being 5 minutes with almost no detail of what actually needs to be done. Given almost no work to do - end up sitting sometimes from 10am-5pm with absolutely nothing to do. Repeatedly ask for work and told there is none, but then judged by team members for not doing anything. Have to come in one hour earlier at 8am on Monday to report on last weeks trade. As an allocator all that needs to be done is some printing - takes 5 minutes, but have to come in one hour earlier to prepare it for the manager. A lot of isolation between the individual teams - management and the staff directly under them are very cliquey. Almost no concept of modern and flexible working - don't expect to be able to work from home. Too many staff that have worked here for several years that believe they know it all. IT system is extremely slow and outdated - it runs windows 2008 server. Also the buying and merchandising teams only have one screen, where two should be the minimum to effectively manage the various systems and reports that need to be looked at together at the same time. Worst place I've worked.
