      Pros

      It was a job. Some of the people are nice. I had a reverse commute. The employees had positive attitudes, non union.

      Cons

      Benefits, Pay, Workload. As a management trainee you are overworked and underpaid. Local plants do not pay your salary, it comes from corporate. Local plants will try to keep you in training status to get the free labor. Diversity is lacking, good ol boy network is alive and well. Lots of weekend work during peak season.

      Good wage, Nice new plant....

      Cons

      12 hr shifts, management shows favoritism, poor training, they seem to think you should just automatically know everything. Management does not listen to employees. They ask you to do things that are not safe.

      no pros working at Silgan I cannot list any pros for working at this company best thing for the community was the press release that the La Porte, IN location is closing

      accounting reports to plant operations little work-personal life balance low paying compensation area managers rarely trust plant accounting union workers do not trust plant management
