Pros

I started with Silgan straight out of college. I was hired on as a management trainee and was paid to learn the technical and administrative side of can-making. I was then promoted to a production Supervisor. Less than 2 years later I was promoted again! My opinions: -Clean, safe place to work -Good compensation -Open door policy with management -Stable market = stable income -Someone looking to move upward in the company will have many opportunities.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good for the area. plenty of overtime, great job for single people

Cons

no life outside of this place it will ruin your relationship with your family , if you have kids plan on missing them grow up. management doesnt know how to do their jobs,

Pros

A lot of overtime and pay scale is good. But prepare to put 120% of your energy into the plant work force. Employee very helpful and been there for 30 plus years with the transition of Campbell soup being shut down. I can see it in theses old timer toughing it out until they retire so they get their pension plan.

Cons

Job title is mechanic, but your the operator, quality, and mechanic. Machines breaks down then you fix it while operating other machines and get those quality checks every hour. Felt like I was doing three person job. Very olddddd building and being told the water is non potable.
