Pros

Silgan has several locations you can work in if you are willing to live in less than desirable cities.

Cons

Very hostile to workers with families. Plant upper management talk the talk when visitors from headquarters arrive and then ignore company directives after visitors leave. Front office affairs are allowed and it creates very uneasy work environment. No support from upper management. Floor personnel are more informed than Supervisors. Project management is done with cowboy engineering, which end up costing twice as much money.

Cons

Being forced to work 70+ hours a week. Not a well organized operation for such a large company. There's the right way to do things and then there is the silgan way.
