Worked with fun people, gained basic and entry-level job skills, was given the opportunity to work independently and make decisions on my own that helped improve our department and work.

Cons

The pay for my position was extremely low and my manager had really high expectations for output.

Great time, little corporate overreach

Great if you love the newsroom environment. Pretty decent benefits. Not a lot of corporate overreach; with very few exceptions, every decision made in the newsroom is made by the newsroom, not the higher ups at Sinclair, keeping the news coverage very local.

Cons

Unfortunately, Sinclair's reputation means that, if you are interacting with the public at large in your position (reporter, photographer, assignment editor, digital content producer), you will probably experience some verbal harassment. Depending on your social circles, you may be judged.
