      Pros

      Working for the local news was a fun, educational experience. As an intern, I was more than satisfied with what I walked away with. I met incredible people, experienced many aspects of working in the news, and walked away with what I needed to graduate from college. My writing skills improved dramatically and felt comfortable enough with my supervisors to ask for advice when needed.

      Cons

      The cons that you'll find in any news agency are the same as what you'll find here. The environment is very fast paced and you're flooded with bad news all the time. As a news intern, however, this experience is invaluable.

      Small station, so everyone knows each other. Very lax environment.

      Cons

      Small station, only directs one newscast. Management takes a very "hands-off" approach unless something comes up.

      Great place for self starters. Get a chance to build your own business. Lots of resources to help you along the way.

      Cons

      The training program was not stellar. It was not structured or designed in a way to train people with little to no television advertising experience. Commission only position.
