      Pros

      The benefits have their perks. The open door policy is taken very serious. There can be a few bad apples but generally everyone is nice. There are opportunities but you can't be narrow minded. With the company being nationwide transferring to another location is possible.

      Cons

      Certain parts of the year can be extremely stressful on top of life outside of work. Some jobs are heavily reliant on other people doing theirs. Everything is very deadline driven.

      Pros

      I began working with Fisher Communications and left shortly after Sinclair Broadcast Group acquired it. Acquired many skills by working with various departments and picking up additional job responsibilities over the years. The option to transfer to another station.

      Cons

      Prior to selling to Sinclair, Fisher constantly laid off employees and asked remaining employees to pick up additional job responsibilities without additional pay. The yearly reviews rarely resulted in raises and when they did they were close to nothing. The option to transfer another station is difficult to exercise. They don't promote from within. Management is elusive about what is going on with corporate.
