It's easy money plus you'll learn to love the residents. Even the tougher ones to deal with.

Cons

Management doesn't care about you & there's little chance of growth. You can go from caregiver to med tech. That's about it.

The seniors are the best part. They remember you, and look forward to seeing you on a daily basis.

Cons

where to start. From the supervisors to the Upper Management, it is a complete disaster. Beyond the petty, irresponsible and immature nature of majority of their managers. The Upper Management could care less about any employee that is "beneath" them so to speak. The most disgusting part however, is how they treat their seniors. The care takers leave them un-attended for long periods of time, and the staff scream and yell at them. It is absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend.

Pros

The residents are like family. I spend a lot of my time working here because it is so rewarding to see the residents smile and having a great management team to support us as employees to feel appreciated and valued. I can say this is my favorite job so far.

Cons

The only con is when a resident starts declining, it is very hard because we do establish such a great relationship with them.
