Pros

-MemSQL has a great product and the company is growing fast -All employees are friendly, helpful, and respectful -Great ideas are encouraged and management is willing to listen -CEOs are transparent and really care about their employees -Management is willing to invest in tools and resources

Cons

-No clear career development program for SDRs / BDRs -Like most growing companies, there's a move fast and break things mentality which leaves room for operational headaches -There wasn't a formal training program -No 401K matching, which is expected in a company at this stage

Pros

Everyone believes in the product, space we're moving in and the company is definitely heading in the right direction with all the strategic moves. I never questioned my job security during the pandemic because our product is so critical to other business operations, and we really are a trailblazer in the HTAP space. Everyone is also very open to helping each other learn since the product is so technical, and you have access to so many amazing mentors at this company, even people who are in separate offices.

Cons

Typical growing pains of a fast-paced start-up. Not enough promotional structure and there is a pretty big TIBCO presence in the Sales Department. This is both good and sometimes frustrating because they are used to the way corporations run, not start-ups. Sales Enablement could be better, and territory rules across teams should be taken with a grain of salt (constantly getting switched up on AE/ISR/BDR teams). In addition, it is really hard to move up internally even though it represented that we can by hitting quota and helping new hires on-board. .
