Pros

Mostly nice colleagues, beautiful offices, free food, some events (though these are getting less and less). You can get lots of diffetent training oportunities, as Microsoft has a huge online training library + if you're smart and know how to play the system, you can get trainings outside of Microsoft expensed. The pay is great.

Cons

Where do I start.....Constant re-orgs, like every 2-3 months, some bigger, some smaller, where management chains are shortened, then again made longer, then bunch of people are let go, shuffled around, etc. Total lack of direction, management/decision makers seem to have absolutely no clue where they want to go with the product (perhaps due to the decision makers constantly changing and every one of them taking another direction of what they want to do). The bureaucracy chain has gotten so big over the last few years, that getting stuff done, even the most simple changes/fixes to product, processes, etc, takes ages (if they get done at all).

Pros

Its such a friendly environment, the hours are, no offense, but really easy and relaxed, great pay, great bonuses, really practices social mobility and is an encouraging environment. I love it here.

Cons

Senior management, at least in the Seattle HQ, can be a pain in the behind, they are always on you about getting things done, not on time, but early, on time = late

Pros

The salaries are above the average, hard to beat in Prague. They offer good benefits and, depending on the manager, the possibility to work from home whenever needed. You can find there some very clever engineers. The employers have the opportunity to shape the product with their inputs.

Cons

Microsoft has been cutting drastically the expenses, nowadays it's hard to go on a business trip, there aren't more off-sites has the team budgets are very low, only online trainings available. Microsoft also introduced a lot of bureaucracies, the integrations with their products are painful. Constant changes on the organisations, not giving people time to even adapt, and many times allocating people without the skill sets needed to the projects.
