      Great work life balance

      Pros

      Slalom really allows flexibility in work life balance. The hourly model allows you to realize more upside as you work more hours, or decide to maybe work less, if that fits better into your life. Great, fun, culture and really smart, interesting people.

      Cons

      The roles tend to be more limited and "staff aug" than roles you'd get with big 4 firms. Hourly model also has downside potential, as you only make half your hourly if you're on the beach. Holidays and PTO are kind of skimpy.

      Minimal communication, can feel like things are kept in the dark.

      Surpassed my expecations

      Pros

      I joined the company in the fall of 2009 after spending almost 10 years with a very good firm. My expecations have been surpassed and am very happy that I made the change. - Great culture - Strong management team - Extremely talented collegues - Team environment

      Cons

      Still an evolving and maturing organization, which at times can pose challenges. However, it is also a lot of fun being able to contribute to the firm as we strive to continually improve.
