Pros

The only con is that you get to play with slime. I never worked at a job where every single employee hates it. That is, until I started working at sloomoo.

Cons

There are so many cons to working for this place, I would have a hard time listing every single one. All I know is that this job made me relieved that I am almost done with school and can pursue an actual career with a livable wage. - Why are employees working 8:30am-10pm shifts as if this is a hospital? They are visibly stressed out and you guys do not care. -Why are downstairs employees given less breaks then upstairs. If I am working a 10 hour shift, I would love to get an extra break. Not just 30 minutes as if i am a robot. -The owner visits often and literally does not ask any of her employees how their days are going or if they need any improvements. She just comes in, making demands with a fake smile on her face. -Why is the company expanding in other countries, when they can't even maintain the stores they currently have in the US? -Why is the nyc store treated the worst, when we are the original and most profitable store? -Why do you guys have to constantly rehire employees every 2 weeks? Instead of expanding to other countries, you guys should worry about fixing your retention rate. Your retention rate is not conducive with how happy of a place sloomoo is portrayed as. -They're alot of unsafe working conditions in this place. Why are shipping and receiving not given the proper equipment to maneuver heavy boxes? Their process is literally unsafe. -Why are porters carrying heavy garbage bins up and down the stairs where other employees and customers have to walk through? Imagine if one of them fell on a customer? YIKES -Why is the mixing team given such tight deadlines for SLIME with a lack of proper equipment? - Why are party hosts not allowed to accept tips from the parties, as if you guys are compensating them an actual livable wage? -Why does is this such a horrible place to work?

Pros

The Families and coworkers make or break it

Cons

Company is 5 years old and growing extremely fast and they rather continue expanding than address workplace issues that occur at every location. Their inclusivity feels performative, and they ignore staff complaints even if all 5 locations complain about the same things. Management and upper management don’t know what they’re doing or don’t have time to. Glad I left when I did, the stress over lack of communication and management was getting to me. Cutting hours event though they’re making record profits was a big one
