I had a great experience working as an Elementary School Math Tutor at SmartStart Education. The program provided well-structured resources and a supportive environment, allowing me to effectively help 5th-grade students at PGCPS strengthen their foundational math skills. The team was professional and communicative, ensuring that tutors had the necessary support to succeed.

Working in the Baltimore City Public School System can be a challenge. A lot will depend on the management of the school in which you work.

Flexible work schedule. Easy money. Easy-going managers.

Cons

Bad students. GPS clock in system. You won't start when your contract says that you will. 3 Days of work per week at 5.5 hours. They are weirdly in-flexible about emergencies. The HR Manager (E. Todd) is a micro-manager.
