Pros
I had a great manager who worked with my schedule. My coworkers [at least the ones who stayed for over 3 months] were very pleasant and for the most part the clientele that I maintained was great. Good place to start a cosmetology career if you're looking to be exposed to a high traffic area. There were a few classes for color/cut provided by the company [you're paid for your time in class] that were very informative. Paid vacation but scheduling it can be hard if your down on staff. Depending on your clientele, the tips can be nice.
Cons
HIGH turn-over, as I mentioned, some stylists would only be there for a span of 3 months and when they did leave I was one of the 2/3 stylists left to pick up the slack. The work schedule can be quite taxing, especially on the weekends/high traffic times. I would close one night and have to be back the very next morning to open. Breaks are minimal when it's busy, especially if you're the only one working on a shift [sundays could be hectic and there would only be 2 stylists the whole day-one from 10-4 and the other from 2-6]. Also, it can be tough to clock out on time because of the low supply of stylists/if someone is running late for their shift. I stayed in commission the majority of the time that I was there but due to long shifts and slower days, it can be easy to be knocked out of it as well. It was also tough to get past the 40 percents in commission because of this. Be prepared to be called in on your off days/earlier for work. No overtime pay.
