Pros

Flexible hours, great customers. They offer benefits, including 401K, health & dental insurance. They supply everything but your shears

Cons

Pay/commission low, insurance is expensive, salons are open long hours and evenings and weekends are pretty unavoidable. There is very little advanced training offered. Upper management does not care about stylists, they are more like a disposable commodity

My names Jessica, I've worked for SmartStyle for about 4 years now and I've stuck around because of the support of my team and a hardworking leader. The harder you work the more you earn and there's always room to move up in the company after putting in the time and effort. It's great especially for new stylists because you can always rely on walk in guests to keep you moving and learning. It's easy to build a strong and loyal clientele here!
