It's almost impossible to hit your bonusable targets in the first 6-10 months. - Consulting environment is T O X I C - Middle-level management is lacking, to say the least. It's where they put you if they don't want to let you go, but you've climbed to the top of the short consulting promotions ladder, resulting in underqualified managers with large teams working underneath them. I saw a review that said "low EQ," and it was spot on. Another review mentioned pushing people out with "poor performance reviews"... also spot on. You will feel incredibly uneasy, wondering if your job is at risk. It's not fun living under a microscope. - Because of all the reasons listed above, there is high turnover in consulting. It is extremely difficult to move to a different internal team. It will be held against you if you try to apply.
