Pros

I have been fortunate to work at SmithBucklin for 15 years. SmithBucklin has been incredible at providing me with great learning opportunities and numerous challenges throughout my career. There are no two days the same which has allowed a lot of growth in my career. I think about where I started when I first walked through the doors at SmithBucklin to now. The mentors and team members I've been exposed to have changed and bettered my life more than they will ever know. It's a positive and fun working environment . I could not imagine where I would be or what I would be doing if I was not employed by SmithBucklin. They have trusted me and my work for many years and continue to provide me with unique opportunities and chances to work with really great people. I am forever grateful.

Cons

The only negative challenge about the job (which is somewhat of a personal positive) is that it's not a 9 to 5 job. There are "peaks and valleys" of busy times (prior to conferences). I appreciate knowing there will be an end in site when the event is over, but sometimes the hours leading up to the convention are crazy!?

Pros

You make a lot of connections and can develop a lot of new skills. The creative team is a tight knit group of people and management is very protective of the creatives. The work is often diverse-ranging from print, web, video, identity, social media, etc. Mac environment.

Cons

Often there is too much work from one person. Not a lot of opportunity for upward mobility. Pay is a little on the skimpy side. Benefits shrunk while I was there.

Pros

OVerall good place to work, decent job although you will work way more than 40 hrs / week. Company is good about doing unique little things for the staff like parties, bbq's and outings

Cons

heavy workload, slight trash talking but that is expected.
