Toxic Culture

Pros

I've learned a lot of new skills personally and professionally during my time here.

Cons

The culture is extremely toxic and hypocritical. They expect absolute perfection from entry-level employees with no prior experience in the field. Many employees are overworked and underpaid. The company preaches employees having a voice and flexibility, but employees get denied every time (whether it's a supervisor change, feeling overwhelmed, etc.). They never praise you for your accomplishments and constantly criticize and micro-manage. People are leaving RAPIDLY. I would never recommend this company to a friend or colleague. Management, especially C-suite managers, needs SERIOUS change.

Pros

You will get a lot of experience and a lot of responsibility and come away with at least one or two close friends because you bonded over your shared trauma from working here.

Cons

It’s really important to note that there are over 300 reviews here on Glassdoor that go back 10+ years and all contain the same themes; over worked, under paid, high turn over, toxic political culture, senior leaders who don’t listen and protect the company over actual human beings…. That should tell you everything you need to know. Nothing has changed.

Beware of what is told vs what you actually get

Pros

Decent benefits, office in central location downtown Chicago

Cons

People tend to throw you under the bus as others have stated. You work in teams but they will blame you when things are wrong or don't go right to save their own behinds. No one likes to take responsibility. Many managers don't know how to manage or speak in a professional manner. Some even micro-manage. Turnover seems to be high and the work is given to the people already there who are already overworked! No work-life balance or room to advance.
