Pros

Proud to work for the Smithsonian, could see direct results of work, involved in special events and exhibition openings, lots of employee/intern perks, nice and friendly coworkers although ultimately uninterested in personal life

Cons

VERY quiet office, not a lot of office culture, sometimes upper management seems totally out of it

Pros

looks good on your resume discounts at musuem stores and cafes good entry level positions

Cons

No opportunities for growth as many workers have been their 10 plus years and don't plan on leaving. In addition, their is no career path. Management is fixed in their ways and don't like change.
