Pros

- Working for the Smithsonian - The work is interesting

Cons

- No pay or low pay - Toxic, manipulative, gossip-driven work environment - Middle management cliques and bullying of lower staff members galore - HR is part of the problem - Environment is so competitive, colleagues throw each other under the bus and play the blame game on a daily basis. - Blatant racism

Cons

The senior leadership can be manipulative and blind to what’s going on underneath. Though not any more so then your typical institution
