Pros

Decent flexibility, management acts with integrity. Hourly positions with overtime.

Cons

-Annual performance raises capped at 5%, no cost of living adjustments. (Must be rated 100% efficient to even qualify for a raise, much of the department does not meet yearly efficiency requirements) -Forced ranking for raise reviews High pressure/high stress environment. Frequent mandatory overtime. Annual sick time expires at end of the year. Only 24hrs of PTO can roll over. 5 days annual sick time, 5 days annual vacation. Rapid growth has lead to growing pains- IT and internal systems are not able to handle load of new staff and expanding workloads. Processes change constantly to try and appease the carriers. Common to have 7+ day old files being assigned to you. Upper management refuses to hire additional staff or consider that their efficiency expectations may be unrealistic. Fluctuations in amount of claims discourages management for hiring additional staff, so the workload is often 30-50 claims in your queue. Management is brought in from outside companies- not typically promoted from within. Management turnover is very high.

Pros

Great co-workers and working from home

Cons

Once "graduated" from training you start getting the bottom of the barrel claims. Management cherry picks the "easy" files for their buddies and you end up with all of the crap that nobody else wants to do. Unrealistic/impossible expectations from management, and if you can keep up they just set the bar higher. Getting cussed out and called every name in the book all day everyday by body shops Getting told "sleep is for the weak" when you have worked a 14 hour day

Pros

I'm reading some of the other reviews and don't really understand some of them. Snapsheet is beyond clear in interviews what the production expectations are and continue to be very clear through 14 weeks of training. How do I know this? Because I went through it. The managers and leads give you your metrics weekly if not more along with 1:1 attention. You gain authority based on your quality and you can meet these metrics if you have any ounce of work ethic. Every job has it's grumblings. Everything I see on here is negative because no one says the good stuff. I get paid well to sit and home and write estimates--something I can do in my sleep. Speaking of sleep, sometimes I work in the same clothes I slept in. Whatever. So what if you have to call a shop and negotiate repairs. You (as an adjuster) do that fully dressed, standing in a shop, after driving an hour or more in crap traffic while shoveling in crap fast food on the way to have that negotiation

Cons

I occasionally miss human contact, but not often. If you're very social at work, this might not be for you although I have made some of the best friends I've ever had through this company. Also, sitting and computer work is hard on the eyes and body so be aware and think about a standing desk and take your breaks. Yes, you get breaks. Manage your time. And yes, we have been on OT alot. It's tiring for sure. All I know is I have some big checks so I guess it evens out and I can work my OT whenever I want.
