      Remote flexibility but declining culture and benefits

      Pros

      Flexibility of working remotely for remote workers, reimbursement for cell phone and gym expenses (remote workers). Pay is decent. Company viability seems relatively good.

      Cons

      Company culture and morale tanked when the current ELT came onboard. Strong surveillance culture, shady communication, sneaky layoffs are becoming a new norm with this ELT. Opportunities for career growth are much more limited now. Benefits are getting cut - “unlimited PTO” is limited, reduced company holidays. Stock based compensation is stingy at best. Even as a top performer , don’t count on getting equity refreshes or raises. Intent on replacing humans with AI vs augmenting human work with AI.

      Good pay and benefits, nice office space, smart people

      Cons

      The culture drastically changed after Sridhar too over. They fired all the sr mgmt and upended the culture. Sr Leadership is going all in on AI which could be positive but they’re leaving behind quality and talent in the wake of their rapid decision making. They’ve laid off lots of talent and it’s become a chaotic and somewhat toxic environment.
