Exciting place to work

Pros

SoFi is fun place to work with a lot of exciting projects going on as they reposition themselves from primarily a student loan refinancing company to more of a full-service mobile banking/investing platform. Consequently, there's lots of work to be done in a lot of areas which gives new people the opportunity to get in on the ground floor. It's a younger, vibrant environment with very few contractors, so you'll be working alongside fellow employees who have a vested interest in seeing efforts succeed. Benefits are top of the line, with free lunches and healthy snacks, 100% paid healthcare, and bonuses paid quarterly.

Cons

It's by no way guaranteed that SoFi will succeed in this new, highly-competitive market but they seem to have a good strategy and new management in place, so it's worth a try.

Pros

New CEO is a game changer. He knows what he's doing and is a very motivational leader. New wave of C-level execs has elevated the entire company's trajectory. (New CTO, CFO, Head of Product, etc). New head of Product was the guy who lead the work on Alexa for Amazon. Lots of smart people around.

Cons

Change. It comes with the territory in all late-stage startups. Primary office is in the Presidio so most people have longer than necessary commutes. Will be moving to a new office in downtown SF in a few months so that will make a big difference.

Pros

Refreshing environment, great culture, and talented people. It's a great opportunity to work with smart people that are allowed to think outside the box and innovate. Highly motivating environment.

Cons

The company is growing fast and keeping up with the growth can be challenging. However, its very exciting being at the forefront and getting the opportunity to help establish the organization that goes along with the growth.
