Pros

The team there is incredibly collaborative and values team members' opinions. Inspiring executive team. Love how rewarding it is to see the impact SoFi's work is in the world. Unbelievable perks, a delicious cafeteria with healthy food, student loan contribution, subsidized gym membership, etc.

Cons

A little tough that the SF office hasn't increased the headcount in over a year. Would love to find more space and grow the office.

Pros

SoFi has great benefits and competitive pay. They cater all meals and have opportunity for advancement. The CEO, Mike Cagney, is fantastic and very personable.

Cons

The work environment is not very good. They set unrealistic individual goals with little support to meet them. They are all about numbers and meeting them, but do not work with those who are not meeting goals to help them improve. It feels like they keep all of their agents on the edge of being fired every day and it makes the agents feel expendable. This leads to very low morale and affects productivity. There is no direct communication from upper management when processes change. They rarely work with you personal life or take anything into consideration when giving your shift. The attitude seems to be "If you don't like it, quit".

Pros

Awesome SF headquarter located in the presidio area with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. Great benefits include free lunch, snacks, full health /dental care. There are opportunities for growth as the company is always changing, you get to learn about different products and implementations.

Cons

Poor communication between upper management to their employees. When information or process changes, there is no direct meeting face to face with the team or clarity nor explanation of why things have changed. Upper management would expect the team to read emails and the standard operations procedures manual which consist of too many changes to keep up. There is some trust between some managers but for the most part, trust is lacking and much is needed in building relationships between managers and their employees to keep morale and loyalty of their employees. No 401k matching, bonuses are not great as other start-up companies.
