Pros

SoFI is fast-paced and I'm always working on something new. I've been given a ton of new projects and opportunities to learn at SoFI. I love my coworkers and enjoy working with them daily. Great work-life balance. Comprehensive benefits and perks, too!

Cons

There's a disconnect between the different teams throughout the organization. The company is growing so quickly that a lot of processes aren't in place which means some work can feel inefficient.

Nepotism at the top

Pros

free meals and beautiful offices located in the Presidio. Despite the quick growth and recent departures from long time employees, great camaraderie persists among employees

Cons

Poor lack of communication and transparency from the top down. A lot of favoritism and nepotism is played by senior leaders. The place has a boiler room atmosphere to it and they keep on churning out half baked products.

Pros

I highly recommend SoFi as a great place to work! The company has a noble mission, a talented team (incl. several experienced execs), and offers a very fun and dynamic work environment. The company is growing very rapidly and has clearly secured a leadership position in the FinTech category and marketplace lending more specifically. I feel that the work my colleagues and I do day in and day out has a positive impact on the company's KPIs and our members more broadly. In fact, one of the best parts of working at SoFi is hearing member stories and the impact SoFi has had on their lives. Unlike banks and other lenders, SoFi puts people (members) before profits and really commits a lot of resources towards helping its members accelerate their success and get ahead.

Cons

As with any fast growing company operating in large and competitive markets, the biggest challenge is keeping track of everything going on. I would like to see the company spend more time on developing clear priorities going forward.
