Pros

I have been at SoFi for 6 months and I can honestly say it is the best job I've ever had -- and I've had some great jobs. Apart from great perks and benefits, everyone here truly believes in what the company is doing. And why not? While it's not a charity, we are truly helping people save money and achieve their dreams. I know it sounds corny, but I've talked to countless SoFi members that say just that.

Cons

For some people, the pace might be too fast. It's really, really fast.

Pros

Great benefits (unlimited time off, fun happy hours, team offsites etc) and everyone at SoFi is fun to work with. I can genuinely say that I've had a blast working at SoFi over the past 2 years. Working at SoFi has also allowed me to take on various roles which I have found fun and exciting.

Cons

As with any start up, things change quickly and processes are constantly changing. I don't necessarily find this to be a con but for some who are not used to that environment, it can be challenging at times.

Pros

Access to upper management - everyone sits on the floor and it's encouraged to approach management if you have feedback / ideas. There is a company wide meeting twice a week where upper management delivers company updates. Challenging but rewarding work environment - we move quickly, which keeps everyone on their toes. Encouraged to take risks and ownership of ideas and projects. Opportunity for growth within the company - room for growth within many departments and often when hiring, they look internally for open positions. Great culture - start-up culture with great coworkers, office happy hours, a fully stocked kitchen and fun swag.

Cons

We are growing quickly and new hires are not introduced like they used to be. Would be great for HR or team members to take new hires around the office and make the introductions again or send out a company-wide email.
