Pros

Best product in the marketplace: I've worked here for four years and have lead dozens of proofs of concept. I've lost two, and it wasn't product related. Smartest industry experts: Work at Socure if you want to work along side the best. Our customers tell me time and time again that "their Socure team is an extension of their Fraud and Compliance teams, internally". They view us as true partners, not simply another vendor. Compensation: I've been an AE for 15 years and have many former AE colleagues working for competitors as well as those who have left the industry - none of them make more in their base salary than Socure pays and none of them collect the upside that Socure offers in commission.

Cons

Work hours: don't come here if you're not willing to put time in every once in a while on the weekends and week nights. We're all shareholders, it will pay off. It's hard work: We never stop learning. It's what sets us apart from our competition - but it's relentless - the expectation to stay up to date on new product enhancements, deployments and fraud trends is high. Execution, execution, execution: We are expected to perform, but that performance is met with high upside. Companies want to do business with Socure. As a sales rep or anyone in the commercial org, we have the opportunity to work with the biggest brands in the world, of course the expectations to perform are high.

Pros

I genuinely love working at Socure. The mission is challenging and meaningful, and the people here are some of the smartest and most committed I’ve ever worked with. There’s real purpose behind the work, the pace and collaboration are energizing. I’d read older Glassdoor reviews before joining and expected a tough culture, but my experience has been the opposite. Most of the team is direct, thoughtful, and passionate. At first, I thought the tone was a little intense—then I realized a large portion of the company is based in New York. Once that clicked, it all made sense: it’s just New York work culture—fast, candid, and honest. Leadership also genuinely listens. They ask for employee feedback often and act on it, from improving communication to launching recognition programs. The new monthly, quarterly, and half-year awards—where peers nominate one another—are a great reflection of that. In addition, Socure has exceptional leaders—both in title and among individual contributors—across every major function, including product, operations, HR, marketing, and GTM. These are people who consistently demonstrate what strong, modern leadership looks like. They’re strategic thinkers who drive clarity, accountability, and execution, while also bringing empathy and balance to the culture. Their influence is a big reason the company feels both high-performing and human.

Cons

The only issue I’ve encountered is with my direct manager. He repeatedly speaks negatively about the CEO and other leaders in private, which undermines trust and alignment. It’s discouraging because the rest of the company operates with far more integrity and focus on the mission. That behavior doesn’t reflect Socure’s culture or values, and it’s become increasingly out of place here.
