Pros

Positive, progressive, people oriented sales culture with plenty of room to advance and grow with the company. Amazing training program called 'Sales Academy' that will increase your sales and business acumen. The Sales Coaches were all very helpful and enabled me to learn a vast amount of complex information in a short amount of time. Sales Coaches push you to achieve your goals and grow your personal brand. If you're focused and willing to withstand many tests and challenges you can quickly get put on a team and set yourself on a path to make a six figure income. There are many success stories at this company! Additionally, they have plenty of fun events, catered meals for staff, beer cart once a month, and they contribute to numerous charitable initiatives.

Cons

Training is very intense, so you have to be mentally prepared for a series of tests and presentations. One of their invoicing systems is extremely tedius, outdated and needs to be fully replaced w/Salesforce. More vacation time for first year employees would be nice.

Pros

Renovated offices. Bad player in a great industry.

Cons

Leadership has historically been insular, defensive, and not open to new ideas. Competition has been evolving much quicker to changing market conditions than Softchoice. Leaderships had been able to disguise this through creative business measurements over the years, but new private equity ownership is no longer fooled. Having since forced out almost the entire C-suite, the last shoe to drop was on the CEO. Birch Hill has now brought in a CEO fixer, who has a track record of selling businesses for profitable scraps and zero experience in the software reseller/IT solutions provider industry. While this may benefit Birch Hill, it will have a negative effect on employees and customers.

Pros

You learn a ton at Softchoice. They sell a lot of different technology solutions and provide a wide range of implementation services and managed services to support it. It is a fun culture.as well.

Cons

While you have the ability to sell a lot of different "things" it can be overwhelming when your expected to know those "things". Accountability is a value that is impressed upon the company but sometimes it feels like accountability is really only reserved for the sales teams.
