Pros

The company training is in Canada. Very extensive but the best training ever.

Cons

To many meetings and a lot of training. It can become quit overwhelming.

Pros

Benefits, dogs in the office, discounted metropass, great sales training

Cons

Unreasonable targets for acquiring new buying accounts, new Canadian reps selling into US territories have coaches who have no experience in doing so which proved to be extremely not helpful. I do believe that this could be a great company to work for if they actually acted liked they cared about new sales reps. Instead, they treat people coming from the Sales Academy as a number.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for mentioning our "great sales training". As you also point out, we have high expectations as it relates to the performance of our Sales Academy graduates. Softchoice is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy, and highly trained sales reps are key to our success! We hold new sales reps to a set of KPIs mirroring reps that have been in role for some time. We also know that sales trainees that meet and exceed their targets in the program are wildly successful post-graduation. We recognize Softchoice isn’t for everyone. That’s why we activity encourage sales reps to own their own learning experience. If at any point during Sales Academy, students don’t feel connected in a meaningful way to the work, we encourage them to connect with their sales coaches or managers, and openly discuss their concerns.

Pros

- Amazing corporate culture, very open, laid back and always fun - Challenging work, there's always a problem to solve - keeps you on your toes! - Opportunity for growth, Softchoice is in growth mode so there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow - People, smart and driven people are committed to getting things done right - Leadership, solid leadership on the Strategy team pushes us to constantly raise the bar!

Cons

- Navigating silos, this is common in most organizations and Softchoice is doing a lot to improve this, but it can be difficult to align others on a common goal - Training and development for non sales employees, not many programs available
