      Not a ton of micro-managing Wide catalog of solutions Some smart engineers Good training program

      Cons

      Poor salary compared to competitors No room for growth Not enough engineers Tries to act like a major player but simply do not have the resources to compete Total disregard for Sales personnel After being bought out a venture capital firm way too many cuts detrimental to the business

      Softchoice: An Excellent Choice for a Career

      The company is dedicated to building talent and expertise depending on which field you plan on going into within the IT Industry. The Solutions Architects and Services Teams are hands on the best I have engaged with so far and really know their solution when engaging with the end users . Furthermore, the relationship and engagement process with vendor partners is much more fluid at Softchoice due in part to its "people culture" -Benefits are very decent: Includes excellent medical insurance with low premiums and low deductibles; 401k with matching; and all the other perks of working in IT -Beer cart Fridays -One of few companies to allow dogs at work -Accountability: if you worked on it and it's yours, it belongs to you -Direct line to CEO and your input matters -Ahead of the reseller game in technology and using what we sell

      -Company needs to spend more time on advertising itself outside of internal marketing. We compare ourselves to CDW-G, but where are we endorsing our company? -Slow expansion of inside sales teams to cover bandwitdh of increasing sales -Hard to engage Services Team in government business -Long-term plan?

      Pros

      Working alongside good people for a company that seems to genuinely care. Never have I been in a company with so much interaction between senior c-level management and the lower echelons

      Cons

      Making attempts to improve training but not a lot of concentration on teaching systems. Also, it feels like over emphasis on "big deals" vs the run rate business and little wins that help a new employee get to success. Quite a bit of micro management from peers with management very hands-off
