Pros

Uncapped commission! Amazing training programs- they fly us to Toronto for training & It’s a lot of fun. Support on all ends to satisfy our customers The managers and sales coaches are smart, motivating, and supportive. They were all in sales previously so are able to relate to their teams. Fun environment Monthly Volunteering opportunities Internal Career paths Did I mention uncapped commission?

Cons

If you are not the type of person who loves the challenges & eligibility to reap rewards that sales will bring, you would be happier in a different role. If you are looking for a higher base and less accountability, Softchoice is not for you. I love working here, learning every day, building my network, and taking full advantage of uncapped commission!

Pros

Great people, amazing culture with lots of upward mobility. Amazing career development with lots of great trips and incentives along the way.

Cons

Not a whole lot to offer here. Management sometimes asks sellers to go to market with products/ services for which the sales channels haven't been fully developed yet.

Pros

Culture, it's generally a young energetic company where most people are willing to pitch in and help. Generally a relaxed sales environment. Not very much pressure to hit your number every quarter. Medical benefits are superb (Canadian company). If you're newer to IT sales, it's a great place to get exposure to, and training on a lot of diverse technologies.

Cons

If you don't have pre- or post-sales engineers in your city, it's very difficult to make money...unless you've had your accounts for 5-10 years. Company is keeping to the fun/cheeky branding, which does not give customers a professional image, IMHO. Compensation is dismal, unless you've had your accounts for 5-10 years. Like usual VARs, it's heavily commission based. Unlike usual VARs, the base salary is below industry standard. There are other VARs who are better overall, and give a sales rep a better chance to make money.
